Cedar River Course

Apparently someone left the course down, high water occured, and the entire course was lost!  For those of you who have helped hang this course, you know what a tremendous loss that is, and if you don't, please note that it's a massive amount of time and money.

Please thank David Zimmerman and Matt Davidson who spent a full day re-hanging the entire course and David for buying all the replacment parts.  If I may quote a line "If anyone can't figure out how to raise the gates don't use them... damn it!"

Users, please note, now that the course is back up,  there are "RED" indicators on the adjuster lines to identify what string to pull to raise the gates. If you need to learn how to adjust the gates, bring leather gloves and request a clinic from Matt, David, or Joel. It's not that hard.

Are there any volunteers to organize a work party to clear brush around each adjuster station and clear the trails between each station?  This is sorely needed and should be someone who didn't just re-hang this course.........We could also use some nicely made signs that are laminated to post in a few places.

Please spread the word about taking care of our slalom course on the Cedar River. If we, as a boating community, can't take good care of this site and show continual use, we could lose the privilege.
Thanks for your help!!
