Hot Weekend. Smokin’ Racers!

The 2007 Washington Kayak Salmon la Sac Race featured over 30 paddlers several of whom lived up to the old WKC name: The Bottoms-Up Regatta!

Flows into the Cle Elum River were 2,813 cfs on Friday and 3,383 cfs by Sunday due to a healthy snowpack and plenty of warm air and bright sunshine all weekend.

Evening entertainment Saturday night began with the traditional Clive Lister Memorial Toast and lasted until midnight featuring hours of local paddler musical talent: a fiddle, a penny whistle, a mandolin and three guitars!
